Hello fellow makeup junkies! I present to you a few of the eye products from my makeup stash that I am quite enamored with currently! I hope everyone had a fab holiday weekend and while I didn't get makeup for presents, I did splurge on a new digital camera with my Christmas money! I'm (im)patiently waiting for my new GE X5 to arrive as well as a tripod (for outfit photos and such) as well as a nice bag for toting my camera around. I purchased the same camera as my Dad so I've had the opportunity to give his a test-drive before I committed to purchasing mine. I've also purchase the same exact camera bag too but of course I will embellish mine with a fancy scarf or some sort of decoration - gotta fashionista it up! So here goes on a few of my eye makeup picks - enjoy!
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil - I'm obsessed with this in the "Milk" shade which is a true, creamy white that is devoid of shimmer. This makes a great eyeshadow base/primer because the colors really stick to the texture and pop quite nicely. I will also apply a few swipes and blend well under my eyes before I add my concealer to brighten things up a bit and to help diminish the gosh awful discoloration due to lack of sleep and genetics. I also am a fan of the new Rocky Mountain Green Color which I use as a base for any green eyeshadows or as liner on my lower lashline if I am doing a super neutral look but needing a pop of color.
Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies - This very well might be my "holy grail" mascara. Volume, length, decent separation... Wears quite nicely too! You must close the tube very tightly on this one or it will quickly dry out and be prone to clumping. My fave high end mascaras are Clinique's High Impact and Dior's DiorShow and this definitely gives DiorShow a run for it's money.
Wet 'n Wild "Brulee" Color Icon Eyeshadow Single - This has become my new everyday eyeshadow. Slap it on from lid to brow over my eyeshadow, add a shimmery brow bone highlight color, line eyes, and add mascara - DONE!!! Easy as pie. My one gripe is that the shadow has tried to crumble a bit in the pan when in my makeup bag but for just under $2 a pop, not a bad deal at all. I have yet to try the other colors but this is Brulee is a very close dupe to MAC's Brule, this just may be a just smidge darker.
